Overview

This offering is a course with a difference - in fact it's a fully customisable in-house mentoring and coaching event.  One of our experienced MSP Advanced Practitioners will join your project team as they scope and plan a programme using MSP in your workplace. Our consultant will coach your staff in each of their programme management team roles, and ensure that your programme gets off to a sound start. 

Course Objectives

The coaching will:

• Provide your programme management team with an experienced pair of hands to guide them through the rapid identification and definition of a strategic change programme.
• Demonstrate the effective facilitation of workshops: stakeholder engagement, blueprinting, benefits profiling, projects dossier design.
• Ensure that programme artefacts are fit for purpose. 
• Provide the senior managers involved with a briefing on how to effectively use the governance tools provided by MSP.

Who Should Attend

• Programme management team members who may know something about MSP but need support in using it for the first time.
• Programme management professionals from an organisation with a high programme management maturity who want to see MSP in action before committing to adopting the method. 

Prerequisites

We strongly recommend that the Programme Manager has successfully completed our MSP Combined Foundation and Practitioner course.

We recommend that the programme's sponsors complete our Governance Briefing.

An outline Programme Mandate should have been produced, and key stakeholders should concur with the Mandate.

All programme management team members need to commit to the coaching and be available as needed. 

The coaching model is suitable for episodic support of staff.  For more hands-on delivery support, we would suggest that you access our experience through a consulting engagement. 

Otherwise, there are no prerequisites for the course.

Course Content

The course covers all elements of MSP theory, but in a practical, hands-on manner: we guide you or show you rather than tell you.

• We will guide your tailoring of MSP to suit the needs of the programme
• We will facilitate key workshops intended to fast-track identification and definition of the programme
• We will coach and mentor each member of the programme management team in the effective discharge of their role under MSP
